Crops & Spraying Open Day 2015

The Teagasc Crops Open Day will demonstrate the latest technical innovations and research updates on a range of crops including; winter and spring barley, winter wheat, oats, oilseed rape and beans.

The Teagasc potato breeding programme will be on display as will cereal variety plots and new sugar beet varieties. The extensive field trial programme will be on view with key topics presented at over 20 information points.

With the Sustainable Use Directive (SUD) focusing attention on sprayers and spraying, this year the Open Day incorporates a spraying event with live demonstrations organised in conjunction with the Irish Farmers Journal. There will also be a range of other machinery on display from all of the main manufacturers and dealers.
The event runs from 11am to 6pm.
