Tropicana launches innovative 89-ounce container

Tropicana has introduced an elegantly-designed 89-ounce container for its flagship Tropicana Pure Premium 100% pure Florida orange juice with no added sugar, water or preservatives. This sleek, first-of-its kind package is ideal for any breakfast or brunch occasion because it offers “more convenience, easier handling and pouring, style and recyclability all in a family-size pitcher.” This is claimed to be the first clear-handle design in the chilled juice category that is 100% recyclable. Made from lightweight PET plastic, the bottle can be recycled in curbside programs nationwide or via PepsiCo Dream Machines that are available in public locations across the US.
New Starbucks EarthSleeve Blends Performance with Environmental Sensibility

Starbucks Coffee Company, LBP Manufacturing and Henkel have announced the availability of EarthSleeve, a new hot-cup sleeve that integrates proprietary technology that enables a reduction in overall material usage while at the same time increasing the post-consumer content. These adjustments correlate to a savings of nearly 100,000 trees. This new products’ decrease of raw fiber material by 34% and increase of post-consumer content by 25% does so without sacrificing performance or function.
Iconic Jack Daniel's Brand Embraces Eastman Packaging Resin

For an exclusive UK birthday edition of Jack Daniel’s famous Tennessee Whiskey, packaging expert, CCL Decorative Sleeves created a stylish matt black, full body sleeve using shrink film made from Eastman Embrace LV co polyester resin. The eye catching “billboard effect” eliminated the need for expensive direct-on-glass screen-printing while maintaining a high quality shelf presence. The matt black sleeve accentuates the bottle’s iconic square shape and is six color gravure printed, with gold and white accents surrounded by the brand’s trademark metalwork motif.
CTI Redesigns Tuaca Liqueur Bottle with Thermochromic Inks Label

The bottle’s lion, a classic brand image for Tuaca, was redesigned as a thermochromic feature for the label on the limited-edition bottle. Tattoo artist Corey Miller created the custom design label that adorns the “Perfect Chill” bottle. The unique design of the lion shifts from a silver color at room temperature to a stunning, vivid blue when chilled to 8°C, when the product is at peak serving for consumers.
Barilla offers new portable Italian meal

Barilla has announced the US nationwide availability of its new line of microwaveable meals – single servings of pasta and sauce that are ready to eat after just 60 seconds in the microwave. They are claimed to deliver the Italian taste and quality people have come to expect from Barilla in a shelf stable and portable meal. Barilla microwaveable meals are available in five varieties including Mezze Penne with Traditional Marinara Sauce, Mezze Penne with Tomato & Basil Sauce, Mezze Penne with Spicy Marinara Sauce and in two whole grain varieties – Whole Grain Fusilli with Vegetable Marinara Sauce and Whole Grain Mezze Penne with Tomato & Basil Sauce.
Coca Cola creates new system for iced tea

Coca Cola is encouraging foodservice operators to serve iced tea. To simplify the process, Coca-Cola offers Gold Peak Iced Tea. Available fresh brewed, in post-mix and bottled packaging, this traditional iced tea is brewed from premium tea leaves and is available in a variety of flavours including unsweetened, sweetened, lemon, green, passion fruit mango and unsweetened green.
