GIY’s aim is to transform the nation’s health and wellbeing, strengthen communities, and protect the environment by inspiring and empowering people to grow their own food. There are 100 GIY groups around Ireland and approximately 30,000 people involved between our community groups and online network.

The full-colour, 64-page 2013 edition of GROW Magazine will be launched in January 2013 and will have a print run of 5000 copies. It will be distributed to GIY members free of charge and sold in newsagents and other retail outlets nationwide (priced at €4.50).

The magazine will include GIY news, people and projects as well as acting as a handy reference guide for GIYers throughout the year (containing growing guides on a range of vegetables, tips and advice from the GIY community and Masterclass articles). Contributors will include some of the world’s leading horticulture experts and food advocates - Issue 1 contributors included Michael Kelly, Joy Larkcom, Klaus Laitenberger, Fionnuala Fallon and Kitty Scully.
