Vincent Coleman Architect Wins Heritage Award

The restoration and alterations to the old Salmon Weir in Ballina, Co. Mayo by RIAI architect Vincent Coleman (Doherty Coleman Architects) has won the 'Heritage Award' in the annual Tidy Towns competition. The award is sponsored by the Heritage Council of Ireland and there were in excess of 60 entrants this year. The Salmon Weir is located on the famous (angling) Ridge Pool in the middle of Ballina Town, Co. Mayo. The client was the Inland Fisheries Ireland.
