OGI Announces Opening of Organic Farming Internship in Horticulture

The Organic Growers of Ireland (OGI) have announced the opening of their annual work experience offering in organic horticulture on various organic farms around the country.

The work placement involves a minimum of 30 hours a week work over a six-month period on an organic horticultural farm in Ireland. Practical farm work experience is complemented by a formal training programme which is funded by the Department of Agriculture.

Eligibility

Applicants for the programme should either have completed a Level 5 FETAC qualification in horticulture, or have a minimum of one year work experience on a farm and successful applicants will be paid according to the national minimum wage standards for employees on a structured training programme.
