Quality Produce, Supplies and Services from the UK at Fruit Logistica 2013

Meet leading producers, suppliers and service providers from the UK fresh produce, potato and horticulture industries by joining the British group for an informal reception on the UK stand in Hall 8.2/A-07 on Thursday 7th February from 4.30pm-6pm. Visit the UK pavilion and CHA industry information stand at any point during the exhibition.

In an exciting new initiative, the Commercial Horticultural Association (CHA), Potato Council and the Horticultural Development Company (HDC) are collaborating with a newly expanded UK stand at Fruit Logistica this year. And as part of the new drive to promote the expert services, supplies and high quality produce from the UK, the three organisations will be hosting a first-ever reception on their stand, located in Hall 8.2/A-07, on Thursday 7th February from 4.30pm-6pm

Visitors with an interest in seed potatoes, horticultural produce and production, services and supplies from the UK are warmly invited to come along to the stand at any time during the show or to the reception to meet key producers, exporters and technical experts and discuss industry developments and business requirements.

This is the first time CHA, HDC and Potato Council have collaborated to create a co-ordinated UK presence at Fruit Logistica, the world's leading trade fair for the fresh fruit and vegetable business. Both CHA and Potato Council draw on their successful presence at the event in recent years where they have been representing their respective industries, and in 2013 have joined along with HDC to create a synchronized UK stand where trade visitors can meet industry experts from all aspects of the fresh produce and horticulture industries.

HDC and Potato Council are divisions of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB). CHA is the UK trade association for manufacturers and suppliers of plants, products and services to commercial horticulture worldwide. All three organisations will be representing the UK industry, as well as introducing several co- exhibitors with innovative new products including cultivation and crop protection systems, breeding and research services and highest specification seed potatoes.

Visitors can meet Russell IPM Ltd, one of the leading manufacturers of insect pheromone based monitoring and control products. First time exhibitor XL Horticulture Ltd, leaders in plasticulture and suppliers of specialist products for the soft fruit industry, will be showing their spectral filter covers for better fruit production. Another first time entry is Fresh Pod, a revolutionary new product that can extend the life of fruit and vegetables by up to four times longer. Fresh Pod removes Ethylene and airborne spores, moulds and rots from stores containing fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers, including organics.

Caithness Potatoes will be promoting their varieties with superior characteristics and seed potatoes of the highest specifications, and they are joined by Irish Potato Marketing Limited (IPM), an international leader in potato variety innovation, seed production and marketing. Mylnefield Research Services will demonstrate their particular expertise in breeding and research into potatoes, raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and other soft fruit. CHA will also operate an industry information stand where visitors can obtain details of British group participants and their products via the UK Preview Guide, source other key suppliers from the UK, pick up a copy of the annual CHA Buyers' Guide, conduct meetings or attend the informal reception held on the pavilion.

To make an appointment, register for the UK reception, or request your free copy of the UK Preview Guide or CHA Buyers' Guide, please email stuart@cha-hort.com with your contact details.
