GAA President Marks Tree Week at Bray Emmets

Pictured at a tree planting ceremony to celebrate National Tree Week are Gerard Murphy Managing Director Coillte Forest, Mary Keenan, Director of the Tree Council of Ireland, Dermot O'Brien, Chairman, Bray Emmets GAA Club, and Liam O'Neill, President of the GAA.

National Tree Week is a celebration of all things trees and this year's theme is "A Feast of Trees". Coillte works in partnership with the Tree Council of Ireland to distribute 15,000 trees every year to local community groups, schools and other organisations to plant across the country. Over 350,000 trees have been planted as a result of this partnership since Tree Week began.

National Tree Week runs until this weekend so get out and get involved in an event in your area this week or just visit a forest and enjoy the nature some time soon.
