Positive as it re-enforces a message that we harp on about often, which is, don't miss a sale from a customer who walks through your door just because you are connecting with your customers or pretend friends on facebook.
Looking After the Bird in the Hand - Liam Kelly
Negative with sales down 34% for garden centres in March, it effects us all, as no-one has been thinking about the garden. Playing catch-up is no fun and exhausting.
Inclement March Weather Hits Retail Sales – Retail Excellence Ireland
Positive as rather than moaning about it the independents are bringing plants that they can't sell out to communities to inspire them to support their local garden centres.
Garden Centres Spread A Little Happiness & Promote Independents
Positive because it's an opportunity for our students to be outward looking at the industry in a worldwide context and of course students love free stuff anyway.
Back to School? Here's a Deal for Undergraduate Students in Horticulture
Negative as it shows just how difficult is is to get sponsorship out there. Marketing budgets have been suspended for many companies and we too are feeling that pinch. Could be Positive if the guy's could get some support with the fundraising. Come on everyone!
