How Far Have We Come? - John Stanley
- 21 June 2013
In conference presentations I talk about the fact that in the next five years we will see the biggest changes in our lifetime. Remember 2002? Basically only ten years ago...look at what has changed in internet use, and how it affects our marketing.
- in 2002 we had 9.1% of the global population using the internet...now 33%
- in 2002 it took 16 secounds to load a page...its now 5 seconds
- in 2002 there were 3 million websites...now 600 million
- in 2002 internet usage was 46 minutes a day...now 4 hours a day
- Internet Explorer had 95% market share...now 38% market share.
- and the internet is only 20 years old this month!
