Our Future, Our Food, Sustainability: The Bottom Line
- 26 September 2013
Enhancing the sustainability of the supply chain to meet the needs of today, while ensuring that future generations can meet their needs, is the new bottom line for today’s food business.
Ireland is a country well suited to sustainability: our climate is temperate and our lush, green countryside is perfect for farming. The Irish food and drink sector has mobilised around its commitment to sustainability on our farms and in our food processing companies through Bord Bia’s Sustainability Development Programme, Origin Green. We appreciate however that it requires all players in the global industry to pull together if we are to deliver on what we believe can be the defining opportunity of this generation.
To this end, Bord Bia is holding a one day International Conference in Dublin on the 26th September 2013 entitled Our Food. Our Future. Sustainability: The Bottom Line. This conference aims to bring together global thought leaders to discuss what producing food more sustainably means, to challenge each other regarding the obstacles to be overcome and share their unique insights on what the future holds.
Join us in Dublin for an event that is on the pulse of the key issues within the food & drinks industry.
