Multihog at Galabau 2014

Multihog is exhibiting four base units from its new MX series, a wide selection of attachments and is also participating in live demonstrations in the outdoor area at GaLaBau. Following the successful launch of the initial MH90 series, the focus on the stand at this years' show is on the compact MX machines. The narrow chassis models of these versatile implement carriers offer even more possibilities for flexible operations in the municipal, grounds care and highway maintenance sectors.

The MX range fills a gap in the market for local authorities and contractors alike for compact, powerful, multifunctional machines which are readily available for year round operation. The four exhibits in Hall 8; one MX and three MXC models, attest to the scope of product development from the Irish manufacturer since the last GaLaBau.

When space is tight, the Multihog MXC is superb at accessing restricted areas such as cycle paths and pavements thanks to it chassis width which starts at just 1280mm. The units on the stand are exhibited with numerous attachments from leading manufacturers in the sector as well as those developed in-house, which demonstrate just some of the almost endless range of tasks that the Multihog can carry out. Attachments include a WAVE hot water weed control unit, a V snow plough and a Gmeiner salt spreader.

The MX model is kitted out with a front mounted Mulag flail mower arm and this will also be the first opportunity for visitors to see the combination of a Multihog together with a rear mounted tipping platform from the manufacturer KIF.

Multihog is also staging live demonstrations in the outside area on a 225m² pitch, where it will show how Multihog's powerful performance combined with a Stoll front mounted rotary mower and a rear mounted suction operated collector can guarantee optimum mowing performance.

In spite of the compact dimensions these robust machines offer powerful performance with their 100 or 120PS Deutz engines, which accord to the directives of the engine class level 111B, for low emissions. The articulated vehicles have 4500kg front and und 3500kg rear capacities and a top speed of 40km/h. Precise operation of all the hydraulic controls, good all round visibility and a 64dB level in the cab make for a very quiet, comfortable and stress free environment for operators.
