INDEGA IPM Innovation Award

Award for Technical Progress in Horticulture

During this year's opening ceremony, the 'INDEGA IPM Innovation Award 2015" will be conferred for the second time. All the IPM exhibitors from the Technology area were able to apply. Eight companies from home and abroad have used their chance and are now hoping for success. One prerequisite for the acceptance of the application is that the product or the process will be on display for the first time at this year's IPM.

Messe Essen and Interessenvertretung der deutschen Industrie für den Gartenbau (INDEGA - "Representation of interests of the German horticulture industry") jointly confer the award for technical progress in horticulture. This afternoon, an expert jury chaired by Prof. Dr. Thomas Rath (Osnabrück) will reach a decision about the winner of the award.

"With this award at IPM every year, we illustrate what new stimuli originate from IPM and publicise the technical refinements to a greater extent at the same time," Prof. Dr. Matthias Diezemann, President of INDEGA, describes the prize. "We are looking forward to being able to hand over this award once again during the opening ceremony in 2015, too."

INDEGA which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year has conferred this award for technical progress in horticulture since 1997. Since then, around 250 companies 250 companies have applied for it and over 30 products or processes have received the medal. By the time of the opening ceremony of IPM, it will have been decided who will be allowed to enter his/her name in the list of winners in 2015.
