One event we look forward to every year is the Rentes Spring Show. On the nursery at any one time you will find 200,000 plants. In the covered area at the show there will be over 15,000 plants on display consisting of 1000 individual varieties and sizes. It takes over 100 man days to change the dispatch area in to a plant retail parkland paradise. There will be over 200 plant buyers attending over 2 days who will consume several roasted hogs. Its a real visual spectacle, a great networking and social event, plus they sell a lot of plants. See you there.
The 2015 Irish Hardware Show promises to be an interesting event for the 'Garden Retail' sector. This year more than any, the organiser's are putting 'Garden' at the centre of the event. There are more nurseries and garden retail supplier's exhibiting than any previous year. At the centre of the event will be a plant merchandising display by the Kildare Grower's. It is normally the Hardware's who are checking up on developments in the Garden Centre sector. This year I would advise the Garden Centre's to check up on developments in the Hardware/Garden Retail sector. The hardware's have been looking, learning and adapting their offering. Come visit HortiTrends on Stand M14 to find out what the online relationship between paving and bbq's is and how you can utilise online information to create sales opportunities in-store. We will be there advising businesses how to get found by buyers in the online & offline Garden Retail marketplace.
