Rentes Plant Fair was a great success for the company once again. Increased turnout of retail plant buyers along with a definite increase in the size of orders was evident over the two days. The Rentes family and team were out in force assisting buyers as usual. While a major sales event for the company, it is also a big social and networking opportunity for plant buyers, the Rentes family and staff. Central to the event is the popular annual roasting of the hog. I spoke to Chris Rentes who's main concern was no longer "Will the buyers come?" It was now "How will they dispatch the record number of orders taken?"

If you needed more evidence for signs of recovery, then the turnout at the IHNSA Trolley fair was also good. The vibe was one of positivity for the coming season from the garden retailers and landscapers. That said, Joe Young of Young Nurseries, who was in agreement with the overall sentiment also "hopes that the weather for 2015 will be in agreement with the positive vibes that are out there." We are at the mercy of the weather, there is no denying but bad weather and a bad economy we can take no longer.
