NI Construction Output Drops By 1.1%

The total volume of construction output in Northern Ireland in the first quarter of 2013 decreased by 1.1% compared to Q4 2012 and was 12.1% lower compared to the same quarter in 2012, according to the Northern Ireland Construction Bulletin.

The overall level of construction output has remained broadly flat for the last three quarters. The value of construction output in real prices in Q1 2013 was estimated to be £465 million. In Q1 2013, Great Britain also experienced negative growth with overall construction output decreasing by 2.4% compared to the previous quarter. The report was published by The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA).
