Community Resilience

Cultivating Liveable Communities

A series of free workshops in Ennis, Limerick City, Nenagh and Portarlington, delivered by Cultivate in partnership with four Local Authorities, are being held during April 2013. These explore how we can nurture our communities to be healthier and more sustainable, backed by local economies that are stronger and more resilient.

The workshops focus on how people and groups can work with and learn from each other to sustain the economic, social and environmental well-being of our local areas. The methodology used in the workshops is participatory with an objective to facilitate collaboration towards enhancing the liveability of our villages, towns and city neighbourhoods.

Green Building

Better Building

Wednesday 24 April 2013 | Croke Park, Dublin | Book Here | BetterBuilding.ie

The theme of the conference, now in its second year, is Leading Environmental Innovation in Europe, and it is organised in partnership with Enterprise Ireland by the Irish Green Building Council, Cultivate and the Sustainable Building Show.

Better Building brings together the entire property and construction industry, including estate agents, investors, architects, engineers and contractors to look at the opportunities and challenges for greening the built environment. Despite the massive downturn in the industry since 2008, many Irish companies are thriving by exporting green products and services to the global construction sector.
