Young Nurseries Continues growing and GROWING!

Young Nurseries

I spoke with Nuala and Joe of Young Nurseries who told me that it has been a busy winter for them. They have just finished building brand new offices with a meeting room and canteen.

They also have completed 2 new tunnels covering an area of over 1300 meters square. Confirming a previous comment I made "We used to work hard trying to get rich and now we are all working hard to make a living" they say that they are working six long days plus a week.

Nuala says "Its been a tough three years for the business but the hard work seems to be paying off. We have had a very good start to to the season which has resulted in us taking on 4 seasonal staff a month earlier than usual." They are also completing a new website which was part of an overall re-branding exercise part funded by a marketing grant from Bord Bia. They have also received a quality award for the second year running. In terms of the market they are targeting, Nuala also says "We are sticking to the knitting and concentrating on what we grow best. Apart from the landscape sector and our customer base has remained loyal but demanding and they are the ones keeping us on our toes".
Its good for us at HortiTrends to be able to report on growth and positive news in the Horticulture Sector. Does your business have a 'Good News' story?
