The plan is the proposed government strategy to deal with the current plethora of plant pests and diseases in the UK including Phytophthora, Asian Long Horn Beetle, Oak Processionary Moth and Ash dieback amongst others. The launch will be followed by a question and answer session by a panel of industry experts from the Tree and Plant Health Biosecurity Panel.

APF 2012 is the UK’s largest woodland, forest, trees and timber show and over 17000 of the UK’s foresters, woodland managers, estate owners and arborists are due to attend over the three days of the exhibition.

The event showcases every possible type of machinery and equipment used in the tree and timber industry and is a focal point for industry professionals to catch up on the latest industry developments. Over 2.5 miles and £30 million of working machinery will be on show as well as a host of world and European competitions.
