Horticulture Week is looking for a dynamic reporter with the skill to beat the nationals to the big stories in the £5bn horticulture and landscape industry.

You?ll be working across print and online for the UK?s longest running fully paid-for professional news magazine - and with an exciting and highly topical brief.

A typical week might include joining the press scrum in Stratford, reporting on the very latest developments at the Olympic Park and following the creation of the largest urban green space in Europe, then on to uncovering the latest threat to native trees from devastating pests and diseases. Next you might be unveiling the latest work from a top RHS Chelsea Flower Show designer before examining efforts by industry leaders to get the environmental, health and economic benefits of good quality urban green space higher up the political agenda.

You must be highly confident, accurate, and fast to cope with the very high volume of stories we require across a variety of publishing platforms. You must have the skills to build great relationships with professionals in the industry as well as the proven ability to secure bags of exclusives.

Educated to degree level and NTCJ trained (or equivalent), applicants must have a minimum of two years? news reporting experience in a full-time role.
