Procedure: Open Procedure (NON OJEU)Description: Invitation to tender: Kilkenny Leader Partnership (KLP) invites tenders for the delivery of a comprehensive wind energy training and employment course in County Kilkenny during Spring 2013. Deliverables: KLP has identified the following courses as the key elements in preparing individuals to take up employment in the wind industry. The training to be provided will need to meet the requirements of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO). In this context it is proposed to offer training in the following: 1. Working and Rescue at Heights 2. Mobile Elevated Work Platform (accredited by International Powered Access Federation IPAF) 3. Introduction to the Wind Industry training 4. Manual Handling and Fire Safety training (in line with GWO requirements) 5. First Aid (in line with GWO requirements) Outcomes to be achieved: The training should be tailored to meet market demands and the aim of the training programme is to equip the trainees with the skills and knowledge to enter these areas in the following contexts: Employment; Further Education; Business/manufacturing. In addition, all participants will undertake pre-programme engagement with will ensure work readiness through development of CV and supporting documentation. Format and tendering process: Tender applications should include the following information: Applicants' details:Name and contact details of person(s) / companies submitting the tender including name of person dealing with the tender; Qualifications and experience of person(s) / companies tendering; Evidence of past energy related training courses provided; Details of proposed team including name(s) of outside consultants required along with qualifications and experience. Approach: Outline of proposed methodology, delivery style (practical or theoretical) and deliverables; Itemised costs including details of rate per hour / day for running courses with non-accreditation; Also include costs for exams and accreditation
