Abstract: To Design and install a Sensory Garden, Horticultural Theraphy Garden and Music Garden within the Walled Garden at Carrigoran House. These garden areas must be designed with the older person in mind. Ease of access for both able bodied as well as wheel chair users. Consideration should be given in the design to colour and activity throughout the year. Design should also encourage use by more than one person at a time to facilitate greater ‘social use’ of these garden area. It is intended that the facility would be used by individuals and also as part of the occasional supervised programme of activities for older persons. Designated seating and social areas would also be desirable .
