Organic Trust - Agroforestry Scheme

Organic Trust are particularly pleased to see that a scheme has been put in place by DAFM for the support of agroforestry. This is something that we called for in our submission on the RDP as agroforestry and organic farming go hand in hand. We believe there is great potential in Ireland to diversify food/farm production while simultaneously benefitting soils and biodiversity through agroforestry. Due credit must be given to DAFM for recognising and supporting this type of agro-ecological farming.
