Irish Forum on Natural Capital

Have you registered as a member of the Irish Forum on Natural Capital? If so, you're invited to book your place at the inaugural launch event at the Trinity Enterprise Centre in Dublin on June 18th.

At this one-day event, members will be asked to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in by deciding the Forum's key objectives and joining one of the Working Groups that will be tasked with realising our goals.

Members will hear from speakers including:

  • Mark Gough, Executive Director of the Natural Capital Coalition, who will speak on the global implications of the natural capital agenda for business and government and his organisation's work at the international level to bring about this integration
  • Edward Wright, Sustainability Director at Business in the Community Northern Ireland, who will speak about how to make natural capital make sense for business. He will talk about BITCNI's 'Biodiversity Charter', profile examples of good practice in Northern Irish companies and consider how business engagement with natural capital can be developed on an all-Ireland basis

Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks

If you're interested in attending but are yet to join the Forum, please register as a member through our Become a Member page. You will then be sent a password that will enable you to access the Members Area, through which you can book your place at the event. If you are already a member but have not received your password, please contact Hannah at naturalcapitalireland@gmail.com.

We strongly suggest that all members who did not attend the Ireland's Hidden Wealth conference in 2014 have a look at the Speakers' Presentations (video and Powerpoint) and read the post-conference report, which is available to download on the Resources page. It will also be necessary to familiarise yourself with the Terms of Reference - these include the Forum's key objectives, which will be discussed at the plenary level and actioned through the Working Groups.

Book your place through the Members Area of the website before May 10th to avail of the early bird price of €30 (from May 19th this will go up to €50).
