Art Exhibition: Visions of Splendour by Michael Dillon
- 14 November 2012
An exhibition of paintings inspired by the glasshouses at the National Botanic Gardens. Michael Dillon, known more for his decorative painting and mural work, has found a compelling distraction from walls in the palaces of light and reflection at the National Botanic Gardens. The combination of exotic flora, ambitious ironwork and glazing offer him an exciting opportunity to create and design work with his own special vision and veuve. Despite the lack of walls, he does not abandon the mural scale in some of his work, resulting in an exhibition of paintings both large and small, which offers the spectator an intriguing and varied display.
