Dublin Gardens - Lambs Cross Garden

Patricia and Michael Maguire started this garden at Lambs Cross in 1989. Patricia is a fanatical gardener and has a real sense of form and colour when choosing and placing plants. Michael insists that there are as many red flowers as possible, that roses must be highly scented and there are lots of red berries. Patricia is a keen alpine enthusiast and there are lots of troughs and alpine beds, as well as woodland plants, roses, herbaceous plants and a variety of shrubs and trees. Emphasis is also placed on wildlife by including plants that bees and other pollinating insects are attracted to. The garden wraps around a modern bungalow with a wildlife pond as a centre piece and a stream running alongside it.

This is a garden for all who love colour and shapes and scent. It has something to see all year round.
