Its all systems go for the upcoming GLAS Ireland horticulture trade-show. The long-range weather forecasts are predicting rain for the day of the show which should be good for the impulse show visitor numbers. We have spoken to various businesses who will not be taking the day off to visit as its all about keeping the foot on the gas and makeing sales. They see a trade show visit as a luxury. We can't argue with any individuals decision not to attend but would suggest that its a false economy. We are not inundated with trade-shows here in Ireland so the chance to find out what's going on in your sector and chat to colleagues and suppliers will pay dividends throughout the rest of the year. You also have the chance to connect with and support Irish Horticulture businesses.

ITB Horticulture will be showcasing its range of horticulture courses aimed at people already working or considering entering the sector including the part-time Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Horticulture

Kestrel Forestry who are launching a new professional pruning saw from ARS, the UV37 -Pro Super Turbocut and 'show only discount offers.

Tully Nurseries who are still riding high after their recent UK 'HTA Plant Show' with Hebe 'Rhubarb & Custard'.

NAD will be on hand offering expert advice including a new leaflet on good practise guide for empty pesticide containers, quick guide to Nursery Hygiene and chemical application record book.

Instant Pots & Plants will launch its "Ellis Planters" trough style planter ideal for screening areas and balconies and suitable for restaurants hotels or other areas where you would like to create privacy.

Rentes Plants have submitted several varieties for the new plant awards including Hypericum 'Little Misstery', Hydrangea 'White Spirit' and Zantedeschia 'Jewel of the Night'.

XL Horticulture exhibit to support their distributors and present BioLift Plant Care which is a totally safe liquid that will suppress soil born diseases like pythium and rhizictinia.
