Training Day at the World's Premier Horticultural Fair - IPM Essen 2015

Experience Green Occupations Live
As is tradition, the "green associations" will, together with Messe Essen, once more invite people to the Training Day at the International Plant Fair in Essen in 2015, too. From 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, "I LOVE GREEN - Training Day" will yet again be the motto in the East Congress Centre.

On the Training Day, pupils from Classes 8, 9 and 10 at general schools will be given comprehensive information about the occupations of gardeners and florists. Experts will provide the guests with reports on the training of gardeners or florists and will give the juveniles tips and a brief insight into the diversity of horticulture. Short trailers will put the visitors in the right mood and will arouse their curiosity about what makes the training in horticulture and floristry so attractive. Practice instead of dry theory - at various stations, any interested pupils will be able to become acquainted with horticulture in a playful way on the practical level, too.

In addition to the pupils, important multipliers such as the careers advisers from the individual Arbeitsagentur ("Employment Agency") districts in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as teachers will be addressed on the occasion of the Training Day. The organisers will take up the complex of problems associated with demographic change and will use this event in order to make a subject of the decline in the number of applicants. The great interest in recent years shows that this event is an important constituent in the orientation for the pupils' occupational choices.

With the support of Landwirtschaftskammer Nordrhein-Westfalen ("North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Agriculture"), Zentralverband Gartenbau (ZVG - "Central Horticultural Association") and Messe Essen, Landesverband Gartenbau Rheinland ("Rhineland State Horticultural Association"), Landesverband Gartenbau Westfalen-Lippe ("Westphalia-Lippe State Horticultural Association"), Verband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau Nordrhein-Westfalen ("North Rhine-Westphalia Association for Horticulture, Landscaping and Sports Amenities"), Provinzialverband Rheinischer Obst- und Gemüsebauer ("Provincial Association of

Rhineland Fruit and Vegetable Growers") as well as Fachverband Deutscher Floristen - Bundesverband - ("Trade Association of German Florists - Federal Association") are inviting people to this successful event for canvassing the up-and-coming generation.
